President (Callum)
Christmas lectures:
- We voted Tilo and Dan Page as our best lecturers so we’re giving them the chance to give us a lecture.On the 8th and 15th of December- Help from Best of Bristol lectures expected
- Outreach Program
- We want to set up a program where students go to their old schools/colleges to do a talk about Computer Science, take questions and maybe do a small workshop/exercise
- Training would be provided and potentially money from the department
- Sponsorship Talks
- Bank of America Merrill Lynch – 2nd November, 1pm – One soon by mubaloo
- Another talk by Bank of America to be expected – Three by Nvidia
- 2 workshops from the Bank of America involving several rooms in the MVB. A big event with many opportunities to talk to engineers – Note: BOA are not looking for traders but software designers for High Performance Computing projects – Mubaloo will be providing a number of smartphone app tutorials. Dates and times to follow
- More Talks to be held at the department – Imagination Technologies – BBC Olympics
- Getting problems with Wednesday lunchtimes due to UCAS days in MVB. Would it be best to change venue or change the day? – Smartphone Event – To be held by mubaloo -

Webmaster (Dan)
- New website design
- Can now use single sign on
- Going to add some guides (C, Java, SSH, maybe git). Open to suggestions on topics people would find useful – Internships and sponsors section coming soon – Hope to ultimately add stack overflow and industry RSS feeds
Secretary (Phil)
- Just got to make sure everybody’s informed with what’s going on with meeting minutes etc. -Help out with anything else
Elections
- We are looking for a press officer to manage the all-new CSS blog and general media management for CSS
