WCIT Charity University IT Awards
Do you consider yourself/someone you know to be the peak of excellence?
Have you ever taken a look at the amount of effort someone puts into their work and thought to yourself, "they deserve for their efforts to be recognized and rewarded"?
If you would like to nominate a UG or PGT student on an IT or IT-related degree programme (including CS, Maths & CS, CSI and CSE) for the WCIT Charity University IT Awards, please speak to your tutor about nominations. Hurry up - the deadline is 7th December 2020!
The WCIT (Worshipful Company of Information Technologists) Charity sponsors an award for IT students studying in UK Universities: the WCIT Charity University IT Awards (information about 2019 winners here).
The prize will be judged on the followign criteria:
- Academic excellence
- Overcoming adversity (ask student if they're happy for details to be shared)
- Entrepreneurial skills
- Contribution to charity or community
There are three prize leves: £1000, £250, and £100, and subject to COVID-19 restrictions, winners and their sponsering academic will be invited to the prizegiving at the WCIT 110th Business Lunch being held in Central London on 17th February (some travel expenses paid by the Charity with the rest covered by the University). And of course, it's a nice thing for your CV.
